What is Far Infrared Ray (FIR)

Far Infrared Ray are waves of energy, totally invisible to the naked eye, capable of penetrating deep into the human body. Its wave length is within 0.76-1000 micron (μm) range. Generally we can divide the different wave bands of infrared ray into the near-infrared, medium infrared and far infrared ray. The wavelength of 4 to 1000 micron within the infrared band is the far infrared ray.

The scientists discovered that everything in this world emit infrared ray, the only difference is the wavelength range. Life sciences research confirmed that the human body is by itself a source of far infrared. He may absorb and also emit the far infrared light. The emitted far infrared rays of 6-14 microns, occupy above 50% of the entire human body energy.

Therefore, far infrared rays of 6-14 microns, they called it “Growth radiation”.  FIR within this range is safe.

Far Infrared Ray and its relationship to health

If there are any health applications, products and services that could emit over 90% of the said “6-14 microns” FIR (Growth radiation), it will penetrate into the human body and stimulate the nerve fibers. Once the nerve fibers are stimulated at the same FIR range, it will create a bio resonance that would transmit signals to the spinal and brain. The signals will then activate the human cells for therapeutic effects.

Benefits of using FIR

1. Activation of cells

When the human body receives the far infrared ray, macro-molecule such as nucleic acid and protein etc. can be activated. Having higher vibration state allows these biological molecules efficiently regulate on the metabolism and immunity functions of organisms.

2. Improve blood circulation

When far infrared penetrates into the skin, most of the energy will be absorbed, causing body surface temperature to rise. Skin internal heat receptor after receiving the stimulation causes relaxation of blood vessels and speeds up blood circulation. The blood circulation thus improved, including the microcirculation system.

3. Increase metabolism

Since FIR can improve the blood viscosity effectively, thus reducing the blood flow resistance effectively, making it easier to enter the capillaries. This secures the exchange of metabolic materials in tissues, improves blood oxygen supply to local pathological area.

4. Has anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling and analgesic effect

The far infrared ray warming effect may increase the skin hypodermic temperature by 1-2°C. This simultaneously expands the capillaries, speeds up the blood flow, achieving relaxation and loosening of one’s physique's effectively. Loosening local soft tissues helps to reduce the excitability of nerve ending. In addition to that, improvement of blood circulation and subside of swelling, efficiently brings to its anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling and analgesic effect. Because of activation of one’s metabolism, increased cell blood and oxygen supply, it has very remarkable therapeutic effect on controlling the development of inflammation.

Applications of FIR

FIR can be used in a wide spectrum of applications. Now, there are many products developed claiming of emitting effective FIR and thus offering therapeutic effects, particularly those FIR therapy offering warming effects. For many decades, scientific evidence has found that deep heat can enhance the beneficial effects of healing therapy. Scientists have looked at ways of how to develop more effective forms of thermal treatment that target specific areas and enable deep heat penetration.

Research and development in the sixties - notably most extensively in Japan and also Germany - introduced the Far Infrared Ray (FIR) thermal technology. This revolutionized thermal technology to an effective, safe, natural, hygienic, and efficient approach to thermal treatment.
